TLDR

Lenny's Newsletter's annual Tech Worker Sentiment Survey finds the tech workforce nearly evenly split between those thriving with AI and those struggling, with burnout jumping 11 points year-over-year.

According to research from Lenny's Newsletter's second annual Tech Worker Sentiment Survey led by Noam Segal, half the tech workforce is energized by AI while the other half feels shaken, disoriented, or resentful. The survey of thousands of workers across product, engineering, design, research, marketing, data, and sales found that burnout spiked 11 points in a single year, and notably, no respondents would recommend their tech jobs to people entering the industry—with manager quality identified as the single biggest lever for improving employee well-being.
