Google is rolling out structural changes to EU hotel search results, introducing a multi-provider Hotel Multi-Pack and direct hotel website module in response to Digital Markets Act compliance requirements.
Per SERoundtable, Google is implementing major updates to hotel search results in the European Union following the European Commission's findings that its previous hotel search experience violated DMA requirements. Hotel SEO expert Lluc B. Penycate observed two new modules appearing in EU searches: a Hotel Multi-Pack that presents multiple travel providers before hotel listings, creating what he calls an "entirely new discovery layer," and a Hotel Websites module highlighting official hotel sites with direct links and pricing. The changes fundamentally alter the hotel discovery journey and visibility landscape for both OTAs and direct suppliers across Europe.
